"Today", I thought. "Today".
Today would be the day that I would, for the first time, start my 1973 Volvo P1800ES. I have restored the tank, replaced all fuel lines/pump/filters, spark plugs, fuel injectors, and more.
Today I installed the new ignition coil and spark plug wires.
Nothing.
Well, something - the starter works... so I guess it could be worse.
But I just want to drive .
Have a P1800ES engine bay that's a hell of a lot nicer than mine. I took this picture last weekend at the New Hope, PA Auto Show. Wish I had been able to meet the owner - they were not around.

Yours is closer than my stepdads! He owns 2 P1800s, one caught fire before he bought it and its been sitting in storage for over 10 years, the other he disassembled for paint 15 years ago, that's as far as he got with it. I'll probably wind up with them eventually(no way I'd let those leave the family the one disassembled for paint he bought new)

Love these cars. Sorry yours is giving you fits.
(Pedant mode on) It's an 1800ES. No "P". The P1800 was the Scottish Jensen-bodied/assembled in England one, 1961-62. 1800S followed in '63 (built in Sweeeeeeeeden), then 1800E with switch to fuel injection, then the 1800ES.

Haha. Yes - no P on the ESes. But most people don't know that and everyone tends to call them P1800s regardless of body form.
No interesting pics yet. I posted a few about a month ago of it on cinder blocks. :p More to come when I'm not depressed by it.

For some reason, it bugs the shit out of me when I see 1800E/S/ES written with a P. Of course, I call my car a 244, when it's clearly badged as a 240DL. (BUT IT HAS 4 DOORS!)
You've got the sexiest redblock, evar. Be less depressed - it's just full of potential.
